How to Save Thousands on Your Mortgage

 
 
A small friendly reminder for those of you who are not paying your mortgage bi-weekly accelerated.  If you can afford to do so, do so.  You will pay your mortgage off in just over 21 years instead of 25 and you will save about $18,000 interest on a $200,000 mortgage.  One simple phone call to your lender is all it takes.  Follow the old saying, "pay your self first and the bills second."  Bi-weekly mortgage payments are largely invisible and will save you a lot of money.
